Thank you for entering the Hailsham Active Run 2023. Here are some important details. Please do read them – they’ll make your life easier on the day.
Key details
Date: Sunday 21 May 2023
Start times: 1 Mile – 10.00am / 3k – 09.30am / 10k & 5k – 10.30 am
Race HQ: Vicarage Fields, High Street, Hailsham, BN27 1BG
Race Start: All races will start and finish on the High Street.
Hellingly RFC - arrangement on the day
Hellingly RFC's 10 runners to meet at the Race HQ (details below) at 10am.
Gear - we are all wearing our Hellingly Rugby Playing Shirt, with rugby shorts and socks.
Roger Simmons will provide race numbers and shoe-tags to each runner.
YOUR PLACE HAS BEEN BOOKED AND PAID FOR SO DO TURN UP AND DONT BE LATE
The Race HQ will be located on the precinct of Vicarage Fields.
In the HQ you will find the following facilities:

Prepaid number and shoe tag pick up

Entries on the day

Toilets

A place to leave your bag (note that race organisers will be close to the baggage area throughout the race but we do not have a dedicated team watching bags so please do not bring valuables)

Results and post race award giving
Parking
Whilst we encourage the use of public transport to attend the event there will be car parks located within Hailsham. Please pay attention to any charges displayed. Please note that the car parks will be open to other users and therefore will be available on a first come first served basis.
If you wish to use the Vicarage Fields or Waitrose Car Parks, please note, these form part of the race route and therefore you will not be able to exit the car park until 12.30 when road closures have been lifted.
Water and First Aid
Water is available at the start and at the 2.5k point on the 10k and 5k routes. Please make sure you are appropriately hydrated for the conditions. We have qualified First Aid provided by EMATs who will be located at the start and finish and on the course.
Awards
Awards will be made as soon as we have the results.
The overall top 3 male and female finishers for each distance will be awarded trophies, as well as first in the following age group categories for the 10k only:
40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Age categories are based upon age at day of race.
Prizes will be awarded based on gun time with each participant only eligible to win one prize on the day of the event.
