With the return of some more old faces the Saxon squad has continued to grow and get stronger. A day that started wet ended with 30 players playing in the same heavy, saturated, brown kit - you remember what that feels like. Both sides played well with the soap - I mean ball. Hellingly' Matt Dauber (captain) scored an unconverted try early in the first half and hovered over the Eastbourne line on 3 occasions without converting to points. Eastbourne did get over the Hellingly line but the ball squirted from the unapposed player's hands in all the excitement. A converted penalty by Matt Dauber sealed Eastbourne's fate as both teams retired to the shallow end to finish the game.
